Autumn:
The City
by David
Moody

Excellent sequel to the modern
classic 'Autumn'. This book follows a separate set of survivors after
major infection, including a group of soldiers who have been hidden away
since the outbreak started. The book starts at parallel time to the start
of Autumn but soon becomes a sequel. Excellent story, realistic and
compelling. Looking forward to the next in the series! You

Autumn
by David
Moody

I can't rate this book too highly, Fantastic is one
word for it. Very believable, realistic situations. Also its set in the UK
which is a major plus for me as I find I can relate and empathize with the
characters better. The story follows 3 survivors, Michael, Emma and Carl,
as they struggle to survive after a mysterious fast acting plague wipes
out 95% of the population. Just to make matters worse the recently dead
are reviving and are becoming more aware. The
big plus with this book is that it is FREE to download! I downloaded and
read this book and have recently purchased the sequel, oh yes there are

World War Z (2006)
by Max
Brooks

Compilation of actual accounts of survivors of
World War Z, the war between Humans and Zombies. Written after the fact in
an intelligent believable way by a UN correspondent who wasn't allowed to
make public his accounts at the time. The accounts, from people all over
the world, are eerily realistic. Well worth a read and soon to become a
Movie! |

The Zombie Survival Guide
(2003)
by
Max Brooks

A total must for all zombie junkies. Be prepared.
This book deals with all aspects of dealing with, and surviving an actual
outbreak. Its realistic in a really scary way, and teaches you how to
prepare and how to adapt in a new world where humans are on the endangered
species list. You'll be very surprised in the best ways of dispatching the
would-be diner of your body. |
