Resident Evil (2002)

Top movie based (loosely) on the best selling Computer and console game of the same name. The lead is excellently played by Milla Jovovich as the amnesiac heroine trying to piece together what has happened within the Hive, a top secret facility producing a virus that brings life back to the dead. 

Interesting new thing in this movie series is the fact that the T virus also infects dogs. Something that has never really been approached in other films in the genre.
