There's a few films out that are commonly
referred to as 'Zombie' movies that aren't really, they are still great films
that I personally like though. Here are a few.
| 28 Days Later
 
I've seen this referred to as a zombie movie a
number of times. The people do show zombie like characteristics but in
reality they are infected with a man made virus called 'rage'. This gives
them a permanent heightened form of rage, in most cases they get very 'bitey',
infection is passed on in a matter of seconds. |
| 28 Weeks Later
 
Excellent sequel to 28 days later. The rage virus
has been quelled in England. The infected have died, mostly of starvation.
The first people are returning to mainland Britain. Unfortunately a
carrier survives and the rage virus quickly infect the small population. |
| Lifeforce
 
Another misrepresented film. This time three
humanoid figures are found floating in a spacecraft hidden in the tail of Haley's
Comet. It turns out they are vampires that feed on the life-force of its
victims, once taken its victims are also in need of stealing life-force. |
| Demons
 
Italian horror fest from Dario Argento. They horde
together like zombies but really they are demons infected by a demonic
relic mask, then as they bite humans they infect them also. Great effects
although badly dubbed for the UK market.
