The Dead and the Damned

(aka Cowboys and Zombies) (2011)

An unusual move Zombies in the wild west, The story follows a bounty hunter looking for his last bounty before retirement, an Indian who has raped and murdered a landowners daughter. Meanwhile a couple of prospectors find an unusual glowing rock and proceed to drag it to town. On reaching the main street, with the locals present they try to crack open rock in the hope of some precious gems within. Unfortunately what is released is no gem.

The bounty hunter now partnered with his bounty and a young woman have a fight for their lives to get clear of town.

The camera work and scenery was a delight, the hand to hand combat scenes were well orchestrated. The zombie makeup reminded me of the early Italians undead. For a low budget flick its a bit of fun.
