Dead Things
by Matthew Darst
Writing a good book is all about planting seeds to make the reader think and re-read. This IS one of those books.
Matthew Darst has created a world that has been ravaged by a zombie apocalypse and has been reborn as a church run fundamentalist
Christian land. 18 years on and two friends, Ian and Van, go on a flight to spend a holiday on an island that is a haven from the undead before they go off to do their duty for the church.
On their way the plane crashes, and from then on they, and other survivors from the plane, travel through a very strange and dangerous forbidden zone to get back to safety.
As their journey continues they begin to think about the World they now live in and start to question
what's happening both around them and spiritually.
The scientific and molecular descriptions are meticulous and incredibly well researched. But what I most liked were some of the original ideas Matthew has come up with, not only that, he has researched non-fictional documentation to back up some of the stories, sometimes this book reads like an
encyclopaedia of folklore!
THIS BOOK IS A MUST READ
